Dr Laura Pritchard

Dr Laura graduated from The University of Adelaide in their inaugural year of 2013. She has been here at Chandlers Hill Vet ever since. She came here for work experience and fell for the lovely clients and their pets. She is now our Lead Vet and works with our Vet team to ensure you get the best care for your pets.
Dr Laura loves watching the bond between pets and owners grow and is grateful to play a part in that journey. She loves working with both cats and dogs, ensuring they have a relaxed and stress-free experience with us.
Outside of work she is usually running around after her 2 children and Benson, her needy yet very cute Schnoodle.

Dr Emma Shepherd

Dr Emma graduated from The University of Adelaide in 2019 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She spent the first part of her career in mixed practice in the Adelaide Hills before coming to Chandlers Hill Vet and has been with us since 2021.
Dr Emma enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine, including medical cases and soft tissue surgery. She likes working with pet parents to gain the best outcome for you and your family member, making sure you understand what is going on with your pet and the options you have going forward. She works hard towards making sure your dog or cat has as positive, fear free experience when they come in to see us.
Her free time she spends with her beloved dog William, her two horses Bentley and Oliver and her human partner Chris.

Dr Serena Hawes

Dr Serena joined the team at Chandlers Hill Vet in January 2023, after graduating as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2020.
One of the highlights of Dr Serena’s career has been moving to CHV and working alongside former vet school friends, Tamika and Emma. Dr Serena has a special interest in dental and soft tissue surgery and is passionate about providing the best care for her patients.
Outside of work, Dr Serena enjoys spending time with her three flat-faced exotic cats—Snoop, Bertie, and Billy. She also loves gardening, reading, and relaxing at the beach.

Dr Tamika McElroy

Dr Tamika grew up in the picturesque Adelaide Hills, where her childhood surrounded by a variety of animals sparked her lifelong passion for veterinary medicine. She pursued her dream at the University of Adelaide, graduating in 2020.
Dr Tamika spent 2021 working in a mixed animal hospital on the Central Coast of semi-rural New South Wales.There, she treated a wide range of animals, from the smallest companions to the largest farm animals, and thoroughly enjoyed the diversity of cases. At the start of 2022, she returned to South Australia to be closer to her family and friends, working at several clinics across Adelaide before joining Chandlers Hill Vet in December 2023.
Dr Tamika thoroughly enjoys treating all patients. She particularly enjoys dentistry and surgery and strives to help pet owners provide their beloved companions with the best possible quality of life in every situation.
Outside of work, Dr Tamika loves spending time with her dog, Loki, and her two horses, Kortez and Augustus. When she’s not with her animals, she enjoys reading, camping, and exploring the outdoors through 4WD adventures.

Dr Ali Culver

Dr Ali graduated in 2021 from the University of Adelaide. After graduating, she worked on the Fleurieu in a small animal clinic for a few years, before moving to the UK to work in an emergency hospital. She has been working at Chandlers Hill since returning to Adelaide in 2025, and loving it!
Dr Ali enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine, especially dermatology and behaviour. She loves being able to help clients with their pets, and has an especially soft spot for older dogs and cats.
She spends her free time at the beach with her bouncy Golden Retriever, Duckie, or visiting local wineries at the McLaren Vale. In her downtime, you can find her cleaning her fish tank or tending to her veggie patch.

Zoe

Zoe commenced her vet nursing career in 2019 after obtaining her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. From a young age, she had a strong interest in animals and quickly realised that they had to be a part of her career. Zoe started at Chandlers Hill Vet after completing work experience as part of her studies.
For Zoe, being a vet nurse is incredibly rewarding. She enjoys providing care for patients throughout all stages of their lives and supporting clients through the different phases of their pets’ journey.
Zoe loves working at Chandlers Hill Vet due to the high standard of care and the wealth of knowledge within the team. She takes pride in treating pets as if they were her own and enjoys seeing patients excited to come through the door to say hello.
She has a special interest in anaesthesia and emergency nursing and looks forward to pursuing further studies to expand her expertise in these areas.
Outside of work, Zoe can be found with her two frenchies, Leo and Lando, or her horse, Montey.
